Beta & Biothane Horse Tack

“Classic Black Series”

A special group of endurance and trail tack. It utilizes mostly beta in various sizes and weights. Places that need extra body or strength, satin black biothane has been overlayed or underlayed. Black biothane and black beta are available in many sizes and weights allowing options, such as, feel, strength and fit. See some of the choices below.


Deluxe Endurance Headstall
Style #1, aka Halter Bridle

This Endurance Headstall offers the following features:
1) Sewn throat latch. Upper portion of throat latch is sewn to the crown. This keeps it in place plus there is less bulk behind the your horse's ears.
2) Two piece lower throat latch. Adjustable buckle on off side and bolt snap on the on side.

Other features are the same as the standard Endurance Headstalls.

Bit hangers are included with the headstall.

2) Use of pinned rings in place of the halter squares. These rings keep the nose band at perpendicular with the headstall cheeks.
3) Two piece adjustable chin strap. Sewn on the rings, easier to adjust and less stiff than the standard chin strap.
4) Two piece lower throat latch. Adjustable buckle on "off side" and bolt snap on the "on side".

Bit hangers are included with the headstall.

Ride & Tie Headstall

This headstall is useful for ride & tie because it functions as a halter without removing the bit. It is also useful for those using mechanical hackamores because the nose band on the headstall is always positioned above the nose band of the hackamore. It comes standard in 3/4" with adjustable nose band and throat latch. Other widths are optional. Add STL for sewn upper throat latch.

English Headstall

Pinned ring option.

These rings keep the nose band perpendicular with the headstall cheeks. It is necessary to have overlays on both the cheeks and nose band with these rings. They can be one color if you prefer a solid color.

Breast Plate Style A

This style breast plate with its adjustable shoulder straps affords lots of adjustment for those who ride several sizes of horses. Comes standard with snap to cinch ring with adjustment. Wither and saddle connector straps can be adjustable on request.

Breast Plate - Style D

This breast plate also has adjustable shoulders. It features 1 ¼” wide beta on the shoulders and chest part of girth strap. It has an overlay of ¾” biothane (or beta). See closeup of the shoulder adjustment at left. It is a good choice when you prefer a wider breast plate, but still want the softness and flex of the beta.

1" wide chest piece with 3/4" straps that fold around the latigos or cinch straps on the saddle and buckle back on the breast plate. Adjustable strap across the withers. Many riders like this style because they feel it only becomes snug when needed.
