Why is the SS hardly ever featured in tack shops?

A: For the most part, Sports Saddle, Inc. relies exclusively on their small network of authorized dealers who almost exclusively ride in the SS's and have a thorough appreciation for, understanding and knowledge of all intricacies and details.

The customization and attention to individuals needs helps explain why the original SS do not appear in the tack shops. Generally, the SS are not sold wholesale and tack shop personnel don't have the time or inclination to provide the level of service needed to sell SS. And, the prices do not include mark-ups that would attract tack shop sales. These mark-ups would tend to drive up the price by 15 to 20%, which would have to be paid for by the customer. So, you might say that the customer is actually getting more saddle for less money, which is another extraordinary benefit.
