This advertising
is very focused. Ads featuring only the
original Bob Marshall treeless Sports Saddle
are accepted. Buyers looking for new and
used Sports Saddles have been consistent
to take advantage of the buying opportunities.
The cost for an ad
is $50.00, and your ad will run until your
saddle sells. Payment by check or credit
card should accompany your ad.
We've attempted to
address concerns about "how long does
it take to sell" by including "Posted"
and "Sold" dates with each ad.
Many of the saddles that have been sold
are not included because the list would
grow excesively long and troublesome to
maintain and use.
When you're ready,
call us at 614.837.7299 EST or email to:
Treeless@SportSaddle.com with your ad request.
Write checks for your ad to: Gerri Rini
at 11428 Huntington Way, Pickerington,
OH 43147, or use your VISA, MC or Discover
card by phone.
In order for prospective
buyers to understand exactly what you are
offering, write your ad using the suggestions
listed below. We reserve the right to edit
some so the ad presents well to your potential
customers. The list below contains the
information you will need:
1. Describe all the
features of your saddle, number of D rings,
cheyenne roll,
conchos, hoof pick pocket, pommel/cantle
height, leather
type and color, etc., especially if the
stirrups have been setback,
or any custom or non-standard features.
2. Describe the condition and anything
special it's been used for.
3. Include at least one photo.
4. If used - since when and/or how
many times?
5. What's the new price and what's
your selling price?
6. Who pays shipping?
7. How do you want to be contacted,
by email, the area code, the phone number
and the time zone?
8. How do you want your name to appear
in the ad?
How
to Take a Good Picture of Your Saddle!
Take
the picture indoors with a flash or outdoors
where the lighting doesn't cause reflections,
such as in a large shadow. Avoid dark and
real bright conditions. Use a plain, light-colored
background or natural background that will
complement the saddle nicely. Don't have
a window or other distraction in the background.
Green
is the nicest background color. A wall
of hay is nice too. Don't have anyone hold
the saddle up and don't set the saddle
on your horse, or your pickups' tail-gate.
Across a fence in the shade with a natural
background, during mid-morning is the best
setup. As
an alternate, put the saddle stand on a
box or something so the stirrups clear
the floor and hang straight.
Since
the stirrups are long, take a tall picture,
portrait style. Fill the frame with the
saddle and stirrups, and take the picture
from roughly one foot higher and square
with the middle of the seat. Focus, hold
your breath, and don't wiggle the camera.
Take
several pictures at different distances
and send the best photo of the lot. Use
a regular or digital camera and either
send the photo by US Postal or email the
photo in a .JPG or .GIF format, and try
to keep the file size under 300k in size.
